26th April 2007 – KBC Peel Hunt wins AIM Adviser of the Year Award for the 4th Year in a row and KBC Peel Hunt analyst wins Prestigious Analyst of the Year Award
KBC Peel Hunt (KBCPH), the UK investment banking arm of KBC Bank, is delighted to report that it has retained its crown as AIM Adviser of the Year at the 2007 Growth Company Awards for an unprecedented fourth year running.
It was also short-listed for AIM Broker of the Year and Geoff Allum, support services analyst at KBCPH, won the coveted Analyst of the Year Award.
This is the first time that a Nominated Advisor (NOMAD) has won an award for four years in a row and underlines KBCPH’s commitment to the growth company market.
‘We are thrilled that KBCPH has maintained its lead as AIM Adviser of the Year for the 4th year running in these coveted awards. It is a testimony to everyone’s hard work over the past 12 months. Geoff Allum deserves special recognition for his achievements in support services and a well-deserved Analyst of the Year Award. We are committed to working with growth companies, an important sector that recognizes tomorrow’s winners,’ says Simon Hayes, chief executive of KBCPH.
Geoff Allum has specialized in the support services sector as an analyst for over 15 years and joined KBCPH in September 2006. He was previously support services analyst at Investec for 12 years. The support services team at KBCPH covers 19 AIM and Main market companies in the support services sector and is corporate adviser to six companies, including Spice Holdings and Jarvis.
The Growth Company Awards recognise the achievements of all those involved in the AIM market, from corporate advisers to smaller quoted companies, analysts and investors operating in this fiercely competitive space. Now in their seventh year, they are an established annual event in the AIM calendar with winners rated on their overall service and general expertise in their sectors.
The Awards also play a valuable role pinpointing key players in the growth company arena and are completely impartial, with winners rated on a survey sent to all AIM companies and assessed by an independent panel of judges from throughout the City. The annual awards are presented at a prestigious awards ceremony, organized by Growth Company Investor magazine.
