David Davies – Head of Corporate Finance
David joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1996. He’s provided capital markets and M&A advice to numerous clients, primarily in the real estate, construction and support services sectors, and has been head of corporate finance since June 2006.
David studied Modern History at Cambridge University. He then joined Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) and qualified as a chartered accountant, before transferring to the corporate finance department in 1987.

Julian Blunt – Director, Corporate Finance
Julian joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1995 and has over ten years’ Corporate Finance experience. He has advised clients on a wide variety of transactions, and is now a director in our Corporate Finance department, specialising in the support services sector.
Julian graduated from Reading University with a degree in music. He also has an MBA from Bradford University.

Anthony Brennan – Director, Corporate Finance
Anthony joined KBC Peel Hunt in October 2008 with responsibility for the firm's Debt Advisory practice. He has over eighteen years' experience in the European leveraged and acquisition debt markets having served in a number of senior positions in both origination and debt capital markets at Bank of America, Commerzbank and ABNAMRO. Anthony holds a Masters Degree in Economics.
James Britton – Director, Corporate Finance
James joined in 2003 to develop our financial services and M&A practice. He has 25 years Corporate Finance experience including the last 10 years as a financial services specialist. He was previously a Managing Director at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, which he joined in 1984, and at Fox-Pitt, Kelton, which he joined in 1997.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in 1980 and has a Maths degree from Queen’s College Oxford.

Capel Irwin – Director, Corporate Finance
Capel joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1995, and has 14 years’ capital markets experience, providing Corporate Finance advice in the small and mid cap sector, including flotations, takeovers, restructuring, acquisitions and disposals.
Capel is an Economics graduate and started his career as a corporate solicitor.

Garry Levin – Director, Corporate Finance
Garry joined KBC Peel Hunt in March 2008 from Altium, where he was joint Chief Executive. He has over thirteen years’ corporate finance experience, having advised across a wide range of sectors, including leisure, support services, financial services, media, engineering and IT services. He has acted on numerous transactions, including flotations, takeovers, restructurings, acquisitions and disposals, advising both corporates and private equity sponsors.
Garry is a law graduate and practised as a corporate solicitor before moving into corporate finance.

Jonathan Marren – Director, Corporate Finance
Jonathan joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2000 and is a director in the corporate finance department. His focus is mainly on the energy sector with clients in numerous jurisdictions across the Alternative Energy and Oil & Gas sectors. He has advised on over 50 transactions in a variety of fields in the last seven years.
Jonathan studied Mathematics at University College, Durham. He then qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen before moving into corporate finance.

Oliver Scott – Director, Corporate Finance
Oliver joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1997 and has been responsible for managing over 60 transactions including IPOs, secondary issues, takeovers and disposals for companies on both AIM and the Full List. Since 2002, Oliver has specialised in the IT sector.
Oliver is a fellow of the Securities Institute and sits on both the committee of the Securities Institute Corporate Finance forum and the Securities Institute Corporate Finance examinations panel. After leaving Reading University in 1990 with a degree in Economics, Oliver spent six years advising on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions.

Jonathan Grassi – Director, Corporate Finance
Jonathan joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2007 with a particular focus on the Retail, Distribution and Consumer sectors. During his 18 years in investment banking he has built up considerable corporate finance experience in the listed and private company arenas (including M&A, private equity, capital markets related and restructuring advice). He has previously worked at Charterhouse Bank, HSBC Investment Bank and ING. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in 1988 and has a Law degree from Pembroke College, Oxford.

David Anderson – Corporate Finance
David joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2003 where he has had an equal focus on mergers & acquisitions and capital markets providing advice to mid and small cap Official List and AIM clients.
David graduated with an honours degree in geography from the University of Bristol in 2000. He joined UBS Warburg (now UBS) a year later working in the Mid Market Group of the Investment Banking Division for two years where he transacted a number of mid cap acquisitions, fundraisings and restructurings.

Matt Goode – Corporate Finance
Matt joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2004, having previously worked in corporate finance for 3 years at Ernst & Young and has 6 years’ Corporate Finance experience. He has a degree from Bristol University, as well as a Securities Institute Diploma.
Matt has worked on a full range of transactions, including flotations, takeovers, restructurings, acquisitions, secondary fundraisings and disposals. Matt now focuses on the leisure and consumer sectors.

Daniel Harris – Corporate Finance
Daniel has an Economics degree from the London School of Economics, and worked as a corporate lawyer in Westminster law firm Bircham Dyson Bell for several years.
In 2005, Daniel crossed over into Corporate Finance joining the Capital Markets Team at Grant Thornton before moving to KBC Peel Hunt in 2007 where he specialises in small to mid-cap IPO and public company mergers and acquisitions work.

Richard Kauffer – Corporate Finance
Richard has worked within Corporate Finance for the last 7 years and has extensive experience covering IPOs on the Official List and on AIM, secondary fund raisings, mergers, acquisitions and Rule 3 advisory roles.
He holds an Economics degree from the LSE and a post graduate qualification in law. He begun his career in the House of Commons as a researcher to a Member of Parliament.

Megan MacIntyre – Corporate Finance
Megan joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2000 and since then she has advised on over 50 transactions. She specialises in the UK mid and small cap retail sector. She has seven years’ Corporate Finance experience.
Megan studied Commerce and Administration and also Political Science at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. She then qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte before moving into Corporate Finance.

Nicholas Marren – Corporate Finance
Nicholas joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2006 having previously worked for ABN AMRO Bank N.V and Arthur Andersen. He has worked on over 30 completed transactions across a wide variety of industries including financial services, energy, leisure, real estate, support services, transport and technology. He has a broad range of experience across both the equity capital markets including introductions, initial public offerings, private fundraisings and secondary placings as well as experience within mergers and acquisitions including buy and sell side mandates, disposals, public offers and rule 3 advisory work. He is a Qualified Executive for the purposes of the AIM Rules of the London Stock Exchange. He is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and holds a Bsc in Management Sciences from Loughborough University.

Oliver Stratton – Corporate Finance
Oliver joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2006 and has since worked on several public company takeovers, flotations and secondary fundraisings in a range of sectors. He began his career in 2003 at Allen & Overy and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. While there, he worked on a variety of M&A, equity-capital market, real estate and leverage finance transactions. He went on secondment to Goldman Sachs International in 2005. Oliver holds a degree in Law from Sheffield University and a diploma in Legal Practice with distinction from Nottingham Law School. He also holds the Institute of Chartered Accountants' Corporate Finance Qualification and is an associate member of the Securities and Investment Institute.
Deon Veldtman – Corporate Finance
Deon joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2007 and has since worked on IPOs, secondary and private fundraisings, acquisitions and disposals.
Deon studied business at the University of Stellenbosh before joining Price Waterhouse in Cape Town in 1997. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 and has been a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants ever since. After moving to the UK, he worked in the transaction services group at PwC in London for six years, advising clients on large and complex cross-border transactions, and specialising in retail and consumer goods.

Guy Wiehahn – Corporate Finance
Guy has specialised predominantly in the financial services sector, and has had exposure to transactions including M&A and both primary and secondary capital raisings on AIM and the Full List. He joined KBC at the beginning of 2007.
Guy has a degree in Commerce and a postgraduate degree in Accounting from university of Cape Town. He completed his articles in the financial institutions team at Deloitte & Touche in Johannesburg in 1999. Prior to joining KBC he worked at both Numis Securities and Westwind Partners, a Canadian start up investment bank where he obtained experience in syndications, “bought” deals and dual listings.

Anthony joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2008. He begun his career in corporate finance at Rothschild, where he worked on a range of M&A transactions, primarily focused in the industrial sector. He has a degree in Economics from Durham University.
