Edward Horton – Managing Director, Head of Sales

Ed joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1994 as a generalist salesman. He became Head of Sales in 2001, then joined the board as a director in 2003.

Jeremy Barkes – Director, International Sales

Following 5 years in the Army Jeremy joined Robert Fleming & Co in London in 1997, moving to New York the following year to expand sales of international investment funds and trusts. He moved on to equity derivative sales in 2000, following RF & Co's acquisition by JP Morgan, moving back to London in 2003 as part of the merger arbitrage and event driven sales team. He joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2005, bringing a broad array of investor relationships to the firm. He concentrates on fund raisings for both public and private ventures.

Tim Dainton – Equity Sales

Tim joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2003 as a specialist salesman in the technology and biotech sectors.
He has 15 year‘s experience as a mid and small cap fund manager, and has worked for Gartmore and Aetna Investment Management as a fund manager specialising in the financial and real estate sectors. Tim was a financial and property specialist in his early days at Aetna. He later moved onto smaller companies, joined Gartmore as a small cap specialist before moving to KBC Peel Hunt.

Dominic Del Mar – Director, Equity Sales

Dominic joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1997 on the research desk and co-established the real estate team. In 1999 moved to become a generalist salesman in the small and mid cap sectors but still maintains a specialisation in the real estate sector.

David Hawkins – Equity Sales

Prior to joining KBC Peel Hunt in 2002, David gained seventeen years experience in sales with Credit Lyonnais and Panmure Gordon. Throughout he has worked closely with sector analysts, most notably in industrials and construction, though familiarity with the financial sector has been evidenced by playing a significant role in the IPO and secondary fundraising for Heritage in 2006.

Dr Ceri Morgan joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2007 as a specialist salesperson in the healthcare and biotech sectors.
Ceri read medicine and has worked in casualty and trauma, respiratory and renal medicine before specialising in general medicine and cardiology. She is a former healthcare analyst for Evolution Group. Over the past three years she has worked as an independent advisor to IP Group specialising in their healthcare spin outs.

Natasha Shapiro – Equity Sales

Natasha studied politics at Bristol University before working as an equity sales specialist at HSBC James Capel, focusing on the support services sector. She moved on to join Lehman Brothers, and after 2.5 years she left the city for a couple of years to develop property in Croatia.
Returning to the City in 2007, Natasha joined KBC Peel Hunt’s equity sales team, and is currently working with Scottish institutions and Fidelity in London.

Kurt Mayer – Head of Sales Trading

Kurt joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2003, managing our institutional client base before becoming head of sales trading in 2006. With 11 years’ experience of sales to long-only institutional clients, he crossed to sales trading in 1999 to provide a sales trading service to client dealing desks. Previously, Kurt worked for CAI Cheauveux where he set up their UK institutional sales trading desk.

Barrie joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1999, starting in the settlements department. In 2005 he passed the Securities Institute exams and subsequently joined the sales trading desk in 2006.

Angus began his career in the city eight years ago as a fixed income dealer at Henderson Investors. He was headhunted to join the equities division of ABN Amro as a pan-European sales trader specialising in mid and small cap. In 2005 he joined JP Morgan Cazenove before joining us two years later to continue sales trading to institutional clients and focus on special situations.

Jeremy Clement – Sales Trading

Jeremy joined Vickers da Costa in 1977 and, except for a six-year spell out of the city, has been in the industry ever since. Before joining KBC Peel Hunt in 2001, he worked for companies including Panmure Gordon, Merrill Lynch gilts, ANZ Bank and Seymour Pierce. He has a range of experience in futures and options, as well as in equities and gilts as both agency broker and market maker. Jeremy is also a member of the Securities Institute.

Karen Jones – Corporate Liaison

Karen joined KBC Peel Hunt in March 2000 as a sales trader, and in 2006 took on her current role as corporate liaison.
Karen started her career in the City in 1985 with Phillips & Drew Stockbrokers (later UBS Stockbrokers). She subsequently spent 9 years with Colonial First State Investments – first as a UK equities fund manager, then as head of the centralised dealing desk in global equities. Karen has a BSc in Economics, along with professional qualifications including the Investment Management Certificate (IMR).

Alan started his career in the City in 1970 as a clerk with Simon and Coates Stockbrokers. After becoming a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1982, he became a partner of the firm in 1987. He continued there until 1989 where he joined Charterhouse until 2001 joining KBC Peel Hunt in 2005 as a sales trader.
